“Liz Sharkey of Sharkey Forestry Ltd is appointed by Woodhall Spa Estate Management Ltd to advise on and manage 45ha of ancient woodland, adjoining the renowned Woodhall Spa Golf Courses in Lincolnshire, which forms part of the national headquarters of England Golf.

Sharkey Forestry has helped the owners secure Forestry Commission funding for the ongoing management of the woodlands, and most recently, obtained 60% grant funding for the creation of a substantial network of hard-surfaced forestry tracks into the woods, to facilitate forestry operations and improve future timber extraction.

Sharkey Forestry is charged with ensuring our woodlands are managed cost effectively both for the short and long term and to achieve, as far as reasonably possible, some regular income in the short term through the sale of timber but, more importantly, to improve the quality of both the timber/woodland and the varied habitat for the future.”
